For Brisbane workshop owners

Get pre-paid pre-purchase inspection jobs in Brisbane

AAPPI sends used-car buyers to your workshop for pre-purchase inspections — pre-paid, pre-booked, with a digital checklist that helps your mechanic create a photo-backed report without Word docs or admin headaches.

Three reasons Brisbane workshops join AAPPI

Pre-paid bookings

Buyers pay AAPPI at booking. The job is confirmed before the car arrives, and the funds are guaranteed — no chasing invoices, no no-shows.

Less admin

AAPPI handles bookings, payments, customer support, and refund disputes. Your team focuses on the inspection itself, not the paperwork around it.

Digital checklist + report tool

Your mechanic taps through a 200+ point checklist on a tablet, attaches photos, and the PDF report writes itself. No Word docs, no manual layout, no late-night admin.

Brisbane launch market

Why Brisbane, why now

AAPPI is launching in Brisbane in 2026. We're onboarding a small group of founding partner workshops who will be the visible face of AAPPI as we open demand-side marketing across Brisbane — Moorooka, Newstead, Logan, Ipswich, Redcliffe, the lot.

Joining now means three things you don't get later: first-mover visibility on your AAPPI profile, influence on how the marketplace works as we shape onboarding and tooling, and a direct line to the AAPPI team for any issue or request.

We're only opening Brisbane in 2026. Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth, and Adelaide are next as the partner-workshop network grows.

What workshops get

  • Pre-paid pre-purchase inspection bookings sent to your workshop
  • Digital checklist tool — works on any tablet, no app to install
  • Auto-generated PDF report with photos, signed by the inspecting mechanic
  • Customer support handled by AAPPI — no “where’s my report?” calls to your front desk
  • A dedicated AAPPI profile page that ranks in Google for your workshop name
  • Weekly payout via direct deposit, with a transparent statement

What AAPPI asks of workshops

  • Licensed Australian mechanics on staff (current trade qualifications)
  • Standard workshop equipment — hoist, OBD-II scanner, basic diagnostics
  • Public liability insurance (current certificate of currency)
  • Honest reporting — pass / fail / advisory ratings reflect what the mechanic finds
  • 48-hour turnaround on bookings where possible (most go same-day)

Pricing and commission

AAPPI charges the buyer per inspection (see the public pricing). The marketplace commission covers booking, payment processing, customer support, and the digital report tool.

Commission model is confirmed during onboarding. We tailor the split so it fits the inspection types you're willing to accept, your typical pricing, and the equipment you have in the workshop — no flat numbers we can't justify when you ask.

No setup fee. No monthly fee. No fee for the inspector tool. We only get paid when you do.

How onboarding works

Five steps, typically 1–2 weeks from application to first booking.

  1. 1

    Apply

Submit the form below. You can also call or email — whichever is easier for you.

  2. 2

    Verification call

A short call to confirm trade qualifications, insurance, and answer your questions about how AAPPI works.

  3. 3

    Profile setup

We build your AAPPI workshop profile together — services, hours, photos, and your inspection scope.

  4. 4

    Checklist + report demo

A walk-through of the digital inspection tool with one of your mechanics, on a real or test car.

  5. 5

    First bookings

Once you’re live on AAPPI, the first pre-paid bookings start arriving. Most workshops see their first booking within the first two weeks.

Workshop FAQ

Do I need to use the AAPPI inspector tool, or can I keep my own format?+

Use ours. The whole product depends on consistent, photo-backed reports — that’s what buyers pay for, and that’s what makes AAPPI a marketplace rather than a directory. The tool runs in any browser on any tablet. No app install required.

How does the commission work?+

AAPPI takes a marketplace commission per inspection that covers booking, payment processing, customer support, and the report tool. The exact commission model is confirmed during onboarding so it fits the inspection types you’re willing to accept and your typical pricing — no surprises after you join.

How are bookings assigned?+

Buyers search by where the car is and pick the workshop themselves. We don’t round-robin or auction. Your AAPPI profile (location, hours, reviews, response time) decides which buyers choose you.

When do I get paid?+

Weekly, every Tuesday, by direct deposit. You can see every booking and payout in your AAPPI workshop dashboard.

What if a buyer doesn’t show up?+

You’re still paid a portion of the inspection fee for time held. AAPPI collects from the buyer at booking, so no-shows don’t cost you the entire job.

Is there a contract or lock-in?+

Month-to-month. You can pause or leave any time. We’d rather earn your supply by being useful than lock it in.

I already have a Word/PDF inspection template I love. Can I send that?+

For now, no — see the first FAQ. The point of AAPPI is consistency across every report so buyers can compare. If your workflow has something genuinely better, we want to hear about it during onboarding.
